Your day begins with a pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza by our representative. Your journey starts with a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, the oldest archaeological museum in the Middle East. Home to the world’s largest collection of Pharaonic artifacts, the museum’s extensive exhibits span from the Predynastic Period to the Greco-Roman Era. Designed by French architect Marcel Dourgnon, the museum was inaugurated in 1902 by Khedive Abbas Helmy II and has since become a historic landmark in downtown Cairo, showcasing some of the world’s most magnificent ancient treasures.

Next, you’ll visit the Citadel of Cairo, where you’ll explore the famous Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali Pasha. Commissioned by Sultan Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi (Saladin), the Citadel is one of Islamic Cairo’s most iconic monuments and among the most impressive medieval fortresses. Perched on the Muqattam Hills, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of Cairo. While construction began during Saladin’s reign, the fortress was completed by Sultan al-Kamel in 1207 AD and served as the official residence of Egypt’s rulers until the mid-19th century.
Afterward, your journey continues to Old Cairo, also known as Christian Coptic Cairo. This sacred area is revered as a site visited by the Holy Family during their brief stay in Egypt. You’ll visit the Church of Abu Serga (St. Sergius), built over the cave where the Holy Family sought refuge. The area surrounding the Fort of Babylon is a major pilgrimage destination, filled with an atmosphere of deep spiritual devotion. Here, you’ll explore the Church of Abu-Sergah, St. Barbara, the Hanging Church, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, offering a fascinating glimpse into Egypt’s rich religious history.
Once your tour is complete, your guide will transfer you back to your hotel.
For an enhanced experience, you can add an optional visit to the Coptic Museum or enjoy a Felucca boat ride on the Nile. These activities can be included during the booking process for an additional fee.
